AIRCRAFT
INTERIOR
DESIGN
Connor worked as an Aircraft interior designer at AERIA Luxury Interiors, a completion center based in San Antonio. In his time at AERIA he wore many hats. He generated Floorplans, curated material and mood boards, formed concept sketches, worked with vendors, engineered Prototypes, and developed full Solidworks assemblies of the aircraft interior.
The following are several personal concept Interiors and two finished projects.
In this concept aircraft, Connor started with designing the divan and worked outward. The curve of the backrest and the shape of the armrest were mimicked in the design of the seats. The rectilinear patterning on the bulkheads, valence, and table inlays was aimed to highlight the subtle curves and make the seating areas the focal point.

Planning
Aircraft interior design takes immense planning and attention to detail. Tolerances are tight, the FAA is strict and Clients only accept the best. Rigorous planning and engineering go into each interior.
-
Visualization
Floorplans, Sketches, and Renders aid communication between the clients and ourselves. The client should not be surprised on the day of delivery.
-
Build
The structures and components have to come apart to get them on the aircraft and then fit together like puzzle pieces seamlessly. All components get dry-fitted, checked, and doubled checked.
-
Final Build
Final Install of fully finished components.
CW042 - VIP Boeing BBJ
CW041 is a concept that explored a limited color pallet and pushed the conventions of the division of space. Connor looked to use light wood and light-colored wall coverings to visually lift while the dark and heavy aesthetic chairs and cabinetry ground create dynamic tension in the space. In the Aircraft’s far aft pressure dome area in place of the typical Lav or bedroom, there is an intimate yet versatile lounge space perfect for drinks, naps, movies, or conversation. Towards the front of the plane is Primary Suite. The suite is designed to be a true escape with all the modern comforts you could need and fine details and plenty of storage.
Fully Private Boeing 777
This Aircraft was designed custom for the needs of one family. Each of the 6 bedrooms and adjoining lavatories were created uniquely for the style of the specific person who would be occupying it while also falling into the collective aesthetic of the aircraft. The aircraft also includes 4 lounges, 3 dining areas, a large open galley, and a separate crew area that sleeps 6. This was the first project Connor worked on with AERIA. Most of the initial concept design had been completed before he joined. Connor focused mainly on finishing details, drafting, final build and assisted with the final photoshoot.
